GIS & Mapping Services

GIS and Mapping services offered by EDGE allow for the efficient capture, analysis, management, and visualization of environmental data. Our GIS experts are capable of capturing data from many different sources and in many different formats, including federal, state, and local datasets, aerial and satellite imagery, CAD drawings, KML & KMZ files, client files, and GPS data collection. Our team also has extensive experience with the processing and analysis of environmental data to identify and quantify potential impacts to sensitive resources. Further, we have significant experience in developing applications for the management of data collected as part of environmental surveys. We are also committed to staying current with the latest technology and maintain state of the art software with Esri’s ArcGIS software suite.

Protected Species Management

EDGE’s Protected Species Practice helps clients find solutions to addressing potential impacts to protected species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA). Members of the practice are subject matter experts, holding federal and state permits for species of freshwater mussels, fish, crayfish, benthic macroinvertebrates, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, and terrestrial insects.
